UNESCO recognized dangdut music

Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung Laksono approved the proposed dangdut music registered for UNESCO recognition as belonging to Indonesia and work.

"We strongly disagree with the proposed dangdut Indonesia to UNESCO heritage. All forms specified requirements must be met. Government ready to assist," said Agung in between the opening of the National Congress of the United Artists Music Malay-Indonesian dangdut (PAMMI) in Surabaya, Saturday (3 / 3).


According to him, UNESCO is an international organization that has clear rules. So that the proposal should be prepared properly. He said he is optimistic because the music dangdut considered the only art from Indonesia who is owned by other nations.

The dangdut music man, he added, immediately advised to consult with relevant parties, namely the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Youth, and Ministry of Welfare.

"As a strengthening of the existence of the music world should be recognized. Not only have implications for the actors, but the nation also appears logical to feel its positive impact. Among other elements of economy and trade," said the former Speaker of the House's.
